Description
Raw beef feet (includes hoof). Excellent choice for making bone broth. Each foot is approx. four lbs.
Bone broth can be beneficial for joint elasticity, tendons, cartilage, skin, and ligaments. It is also the protein that determines the strength of your dog's hair, bones, nails, and teeth. It protects the lining of the stomach, soothes upset stomachs, and helps other digestive ailments like irritable bowel syndrome and diarrhea. Disorders such as degenerative joint disease, osteoporosis, arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis respond favorably to diets containing gelatin because it reduces the inflammation.
Quick recipe for Bone Broth
Place into crockpot:
1 cow foot or any other raw bones
Add enough water to cover the bones with approximately 2 inches of water at the top.
Add 4 tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar (with the Mother) - I use Braggs.
Cover and cook on low for 24-36 hours. Strain out the bones and discard (never feed cooked bones). Refrigerate. Skim fat from top. Broth will thicken to gelatin consistency.
